Butterfly Primorac Carbon
BUTTERFLY PRIMORAC CARBON
The blade evaluated today is Butterfly Primorac Carbon

Introduction:

Butterfly Primorac Carbon is a classic 3+2, 5-layer structure base blade. Many netizens have reported that Butterfly Primorac is the choice of a generation of classic thugs. The Primorac, one of the three European tigers, won two World Cup championships with this soleplate, and Schrager also used it for a while. It’s been about thirty years since we traced back the history of this blade. It should be a blade that came out in 1990, and it has become hot again today. Boll recently won the European Championship with Primorac Carbon, and used Primorac Carbon to shine in the Olympics and World Table Tennis Championships, which once again aroused everyone’s enthusiasm, so I made this evaluation of Primorac Carbon, too. To pay tribute to the hero TIM BOLL in my heart.
From the time I started to study table tennis in 2000, Boll has been fighting in the Sydney Olympics. Until 2021, Uncle Boll is still fighting in Tokyo. He never gave up, fell and stood up countless times, perfectly interpreting the spirit of Olympic sports. At this moment, the champion seems to be no longer so important to him, and his appearance will make my eyes burst into tears.
Star Player: Boll

Uncle Boll is a legendary figure. I believe everyone is familiar with his career, but I still hope to introduce him seriously. Tim Boll, who started playing at the age of 4, won the European Youth Championship Men’s Singles Championship in 1997 and 1998; in 2002, Boll defeated Wang Liqin and Kong Linghui and won the World Cup Men’s Singles Championship; in January 2003, Boll won the World Cup Men’s Singles Championship. Ranked as the world’s number one player in men’s table tennis; won the Men’s Singles World Cup in 2005 and runner-up in the Liege World Cup in Belgium in 2008; Boll led the German team to runner-up in the 2008 Beijing Olympics; and won the Liverpool World Cup men’s singles in 2012 Runner-up, as well as several European Championships and Open Championships, Boll has represented the German team and won the World Table Tennis Team runner-up on many occasions. He is considered to be Waldner’s successor.

Trial printing of Butterfly Primorac Carbon with glue:

- Feel

It is not a crisp, hard elastic feeling, nor a soft feeling, but a solid and powerful hand feeling. This solid sense of power transmission makes you immediately want to start fighting with the opponent.

- Speed

Although the surface layer is made of cypress wood, it does not affect the excellent speed of ordinary carbon. The first speed is very fast. When you attack, you feel that the ball is hitting. With a swish, you go forward, but the second jump speed It’s not so fast. Here I want to take the initiative to mention using this backhand fast tear, or attack, it is really cool, backhand fast with fast tear and fast top, this combination of speed and power gives you a complete sense of security And sense of accomplishment.
Vis’s backhand is recognized as good, but the Primorac Carbon’s backhand is solid and much more refreshing than vis . Using this blade to attack in the middle and near stage, this kind of strong, solid and fast offensive feeling makes you Can’t stop!
By the way, if this blade is matched with Hurricane rubbers, it may have a sense of disconnection, unless you fill it with oil or the glue is particularly soft, so it is not recommended for lazy people to use this blade with Hurricane. This blade is matched with a jacket. It has a fast belt and a quick tear in the center and near the station. The offense is very good. It is especially suitable for European players’ fast forehand and backhand conversion and wide open and close play, such as the owner of this blade: Primo Latz.

- Spin

The ball-holding performance may not be considered an advantage of this blade. The blade feels very tough as a whole. It seems to prove the old saying, “How can a good man buckle”? Although it is matched with cypress surface material, the ball-holding feeling is still not excellent. It feels that the fibers inside are very hard, so only the soft cypress on the surface material can not make this soleplate feel particularly good for holding the ball. . Since the ball-holding performance is not particularly good, the arc of this soleplate is very low, so you need to pay attention to the shape and the angle of force when the mid-range platform is fighting. The bottom of the floor is full of strength, so don’t be afraid to lose to the opponent in strength.
This blade must be hit forward. This kind of pressure is very amazing, like a cannonball hitting the past. If you play like a pure friction arc, it is difficult to play the offensive performance of this blade. .

- Control

In fact, the ball control of the Primorac Carbon is still good, because the thin cypress on the bottom of the blade makes it difficult for you to play the ball when you are small. It is worth mentioning that the control and conduction of the circuit are accurate and the blade is solid. When you control the circuit, you can Do what you mean to play, excellent control ability, let you do reverse pull, reverse attack, or control the line, very well.

After June of this year, Boll replaced the Boll ALC, which has been used for many years, with Primorac Carbon. I guess this is because the quality of the active offense and the movement of the pace at the age of 40 are not as good as before. At that time, it was impossible to hedge across Taiwan, so choosing this blade also valued the ultra-high-quality single board capability of this blade and the excellent ability to control the circuit. This blade is a good way to make up for the decline in strength and speed in the late career. It satisfies all the conditions that Boll can still play in the sand at the age of 40. High-quality veneer + excellent ball control ability.

- Defensive

The feeling of being firm and solid makes you very comfortable to take advantage of the defense. You only need to put the blade there and you can defend the past steadily. If you change the angle a little, the ball will slide past accurately. And the tough T5000 fiber will make you defend the ball faster in the past, all with offensiveness. The only downside is that it is not easy to unload. This may be because T5000 fiber is a very hard fiber, so if you push forward too hard, the ball will easily go out of bounds.

03 summary
- Trial summary

In the center and near table, the blade attack is like a heavy artillery, including the control of the line is very precise. And the solid feeling makes you know when you do reverse pulls, fast belts, quick tears, etc., and it’s great to play back the ball. From this point of view, Boll’s technical and tactical system is suitable for his twilight years of his career (not retreating, pursuing the quality of offense in the middle and near Taiwan, and the pursuit of passive offensive quality, such as fast belts, quick tears and reverse pulls). , And strive to end the battle faster.
The disadvantage is that the ball is not well held and the arc is low, which causes the overall speed of the ball to slow down in today’s big ball era. This blade does not have a good arc feeling in the far platform, and the ball will easily get off the net, causing it to fall into the wind. . However, in recent years, with the advent of the big ball era, the mainstream technology of table tennis has gradually shifted from the mid-to-far table to the rapid conversion of offensive and defensive, and the speed control of the mid-to-near table. Will it have its second spring with the violent blade of the past years, which combines speed and control?
In the matching rubber, Hurricane is not recommended, there will be a very obvious sense of disconnection, unless you are willing to fill the oil to make Hurricane soft enough. It is also not recommended to have too hard astringent sets, such as D05. You can choose a rubber of this kind of hardness similar to T 05 , which makes it easier for amateurs to control it.

- For people
It is suitable for people who lack offense and want to improve the quality of the veneer through the blade. The offensive and defensive transition in the center and near stations is very suitable for this blade. It is not suitable for people who pursue the traditional loop ball and stable play.
